Just how many podcasts are there in 2020?
As of April 2020:
There are over 1,000,000 (1 million) podcasts
And over 30,000,000 (30 million) episodes
That's an astoundingly large number of podcast content and creators!
To put things into perspective, as of this writing there's about 7.8 billion people on planet Earth.
Which means that 1 in 7800 of all people in the world have their own podcast.
Also consider that back in mid-2018, Apple confirmed that there were more than 500,000 podcasts.
That's a doubling of podcasts in just under two years!
And we're just in Q2 of 2020...
